UX/UI Design E-Commerce Platform 2021

Asia Books is one of Thailand's leading bookstore retailers. As customer shopping habits increasingly shifted toward digital channels, the company identified an opportunity to expand its presence online and create a more accessible shopping experience.

The project focused on redesigning the eCommerce platform through market research, competitor analysis, and user behavior insights. The goal was to create an online bookstore that reflected customer expectations, improved product discovery, and provided a seamless purchasing journey across all devices.


Problem Statement

Asia Books recognized a growing demand for online shopping as customer behavior continued to evolve. While the brand had a strong physical retail presence, its digital experience did not fully support modern purchasing expectations.

Customers expressed concerns about product discoverability, ease of navigation, and confidence during checkout. The challenge was to create an intuitive digital platform that would build trust, simplify the buying process, and encourage customers to purchase books online.

Solutions

The solution focused on creating a user centered eCommerce experience supported by research and data driven decision making.

Key improvements included a clearer information architecture, enhanced product categorization, streamlined navigation, and a simplified checkout experience. The design also introduced responsive layouts to ensure a consistent experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

By prioritizing usability and customer expectations, the redesigned platform provided a more efficient shopping journey while supporting Asia Books' digital growth strategy.
